Richard Denny, Artistic Director

Richard Denny has been in the professional dance world for many years working both on Broadway in New York City and with major ballet companies around the U.S.A.

Experience

He taught for the Barbie Graham Miere School of Dance for 15 years and teaches for several other schools in the area. He has taught and/or choreographed for Ballet Nouveau, California Ballet, San Diego, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Amarillo Ballet.

Richard Denny's original choreography is widely known across the county. He choreographed new ballets for the Denver School for the Arts, Ballet Nouvean, and the David Taylor Dance Theater in 2003.

Richard danced all the major classical roles from the Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Coppelia, FireBird, Giselle and many others. Please click here to learn more about Richard Denny's extensive training.

Accomplishments

Mr. Denny is on the Board of Directors of Arts for All and the Colorado Dance Alliance

The PDTA (Professional Dance Teachers Association) honored him with the title "Ballet Master".

He helped establish the Colorado Ballet and was its "artist in residence" for 7 years.

He is a judge for Rainbow Connection, a national dance competition organization.

He also was Artistic Director of two professional dance companies in the 1980's.
